SPC creates a tool to gain community feedback on proposed federal transportation projects on Maui

Use an SPC tool to share your input on Draft TIP 2019-2022 federal transportation projects for Maui

Transportation planning is underway for highway and transit projects proposed for federal funding on Maui in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) FFY 2019-2022. All projects are eligible for federal funding, consistent with the Long Range Transportation Plan, and are top priorities from County and State asset management systems.\

SPC is proud to announce that we were chosen to create the Interactive Project Map and the Public Survey for this project. We, along with the Maui MPO, invite you to take the surveyand explore project information on the Interactive Project Map. You can also view the Unconstrained Draft Maui TIP 2019-2022 Project List.

Help the Maui MPO narrow down the project list from $170 million to a target of $124 million in federal-aid projects. The Maui MPO Technical Advisory Committee and Policy Board will consider your responses as they develop a financially constrained TIP by June 2018.

In addition to these online options, there will also be a series of public workshopsbeginning next Monday, February 5th, 2018. Join Maui MPO, State Department of Transportation, County Department of Public Works and County Department of Transportation to share your input on proposed TIP 2019-2022 projects that alleviate traffic congestion, make it safer for people to walk and bike, provide alternative routes, and address coastal erosion and sea level rise.
